Scottish band Spinning Coin releasing new 7" (listen), playing SXSW

Glasgow’s Spinning Coin are in the fine tradition of firey independent Scottish bands that goes back to Joseph K and The Fire Engines. The band have a new 7″ on the way via Domino’s Geographic imprint and you can check out videos for both sides, including brand new song “Tin” which premieres in this post. Spinning Coin will be heading to Austin this week for SXSW where they’re playing a couple official showcases, including the Glasgow Buckaroo Ball at Mohawk on Friday (3/17, 9 PM set) with Happy Meals, Womps, The Pooches, Pinact, and Catholic Action. They’ll also play the Convention Center’s International Day Stage on Saturday, March 18 at 1 PM.
