Scupper (ex Lynnfield Pioneers) releasing new 7″ (listen), playing shows

Mike Janson fronted Brooklyn trio Lynnfield Pioneers who released two albums of snarly, blown-out indie rock on Matador in the late ’90s. His current endeavor, Scupper, is a little more melodic than the Pioneers and they’ve got a new 7″ coming out May 20 via Ever/Never Records. The A-side, “Everything,” is the kind of super-catchy, fuzzy guitar pop that was a college radio staple in the late ’80s and early ’90s. That song premieres in this post:

Scupper have a couple upcoming NYC shows: they’ll play Muchmore’s on June 16 with Rathaus and then Cake Shop on August 11 with Unknown Relatives.
