Action Bronson at MHOW in August (more by Ryan Muir)
Action Bronson

As mentioned, Action Bronson is on tour with Cypress Hill and was supposed to hit NYC on November 28 at Best Buy Theater (rescheduled from 10/30). However, Action Bronson dropped off that show and was replaced by STS. For those still interested in attending, tickets are still available.

Action Bronson will continue to do a ton of touring until the end of this year and into 2013, and if you were planning on seeing him at the Cypress Hill show, you'll have another chance to catch the rapper in NYC on December 26 at Brooklyn Bowl. Tickets for that show go on sale today (11/21) at noon.

Action Bronson just released his Alchemist-produced album, Rare Chandeliers, which you can download for free. Updated dates are listed below.

Action Bronson - Rare Chandeliers
Rare Chandeliers

Action Bronson was supposed to play Best Buy Theater last week (10/30) with Cypress Hill, but as mentioned, that show was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. The new date for that show has been set and will happen on November 28 at Best Buy Theater. Tickets are still available if you don't already have one.

When we discussed that show being postponed, we also mentioned that Action Bronson was going to play a free show which was set to happen today (11/7) with Harry Fraud & friends and DJ Getlive! at Public Assembly. That show was also just rescheduled and will instead also happen on November 28 at Public Assembly, but probably due to the Cypress Hill show, Action Bronson is no longer listed on the event page or the show flyer. RSVP is still open and the flyer is below.

In related news, Action Bronson will release a free album titled Rare Chandeliers on November 15. The album was produced entirely by The Alchemist, whose album, Russian Roulette, Bronson appeared on. That album will feature the track "The Symbol," which you can watch the video for with the full album tracklist below. That's the fancy cover art above.

Video, cover art, tracklist, show flyer, and a list of all dates below...

Action Bronson at Music Hall of Williamsburg in August (more by Ryan Muir)
Action Bronson

In late August, Action Bronson tweeted, "LA is gonna have a new resident soon," presumably implying that the Queens rapper has plans to move out west. We haven't heard anything about it since, but if he is leaving (or did already), he's still giving NYC plenty of chances to see him. On Friday (9/28) he's playing a Bespoke Group-presented and Hyundai-sponsored show in NYC at Chelsea Market (75 9th Ave) with RL Grime. RSVP is open. Doors are at 9 PM for this 21+ show.

Action Bronson, who just played Beauty Ballroom in Austin, will also be the opening at Cypress HIll's annual "Haunted Hill" show, which happens at Best Buy Theater on October 30, the day before Halloween. Tickets for that show are available. Other Halloween options in NYC include Wold Inferno Friendship Society at Warsaw, Smashing Pumpkins at Barclays Center, and The Misfits annual Halloween show at Highline Ballroom.

In other Action Bronson news, he recently dropped a new Party Supplies-produced song called "It's Me," which you can download above, or stream below, along with a list of all dates.

Ghost & Rae at Yonge-Dundas Square - 6/17/12
Ghostface and Raekwon

Opening things up with a blazing, pace-setting flourish, Raekwon and Ghostface let loose with a tight four-pack of Wu classics, including "Incarcerated Scarfaces," "Glaciers of Ice" and the timeless "Ice Cream." Feeling right at home in front of their adoring legions, the two seasoned vets paced around the stage like the hip-hop royalty they most certainly are, taking rap fans on a trip through countless and no doubt formative musical memories, with the Iron Man playing it cool for the most part behind a much more animated and engaging Raekwon. The Chef, for his part, took time out from the duo's own rundown of hits to show love to T.Dot compatriot and collaborator JD Era, running through their shared cuts before allowing the local MC to spotlight his own recent radio hit "Mount Olympus" to the joy of many of hometown faithful. [Exclaim]
Wu-Tang Clan members Ghostface & Raekwon teamed up for a free show in Toronto as part of NXNE last weekend in Yonge-Dundas Square. They were supported by a stacked lineup of Killer Mike, Action Bronson, Tre Mission, Tasha the Amazon, and Austin Renfore.

The show happened two days before Action Bronson played a free show in Brooklyn.

You can catch Ghostface in NYC on Saturday (6/23) for a free Prospect Park Show, and again in August for a Wu-Block Party at Highline (8/8) and at Rock the Bells. The latter of those is with Raekwon, who will play his own show in NYC sooner at Best Buy Theater on July 26 with Tyler, the Creator & Earl Sweatshirt (tickets).

More pictures from the Toronto show, part of our growing collection of NXNE 2012 pics, are below...

It's that time of year! SXSW 2012 is upon us and as such, I have prepared a guide for all things hardcore/metal/punk/etc this year. This is by no means a definitive list, BUT I have made sure to include every single show that I know about that has even one single band I recommend. Please enjoy, and feel free to add in comments about anything I may have missed!
