Serration Pulse releasing EP on Third Man Records (watch a video)

Serration Pulse is the Nashville-based duo of two Detroit musicians, Daniel Tomczak (of Terrible Twos) and Kayla Anderson. While Terrible Twos are on the cool underground Detroit label Urinal Cake Records (also home to releases by Protomartyr), Serration Pulse are on a bigger Detroit label, Jack White’s Third Man Records. They’re releasing their three-song self-titled debut EP on the label next (8/10) (pre-order), and we’re now premiering the video for “The Beach” off that EP. Serration Pulse opened for Detroit coldwavers ADULT. when ADULT. performed live to acetate for Third Man Records, and if you like ADULT., you’ll probably like Serration Pulse too. “The Beach” pulls from a similar bank of ’80s coldwave/darkwave/goth/etc influences, and Kayla’s dark, breathy vocals fit the vibe perfectly. The eerie, black and blue video fits perfectly as well. Check it out below.
