Shea Stadium got shut down by cops on Friday and Saturday
Brooklyn DIY space Shea Stadium got shut down tonight, with the NY Fire Department then police on the scene. Tonight was to be headlined by OVLOV and featured North Carolina’s Sinai Vessel who tweeted the news. No word on details beyond that, and this sort of thing isn’t entirely uncommon in the world of DIY, but in our post-Ghost Ship climate, let’s hope for the best. We need spaces like Shea Stadium. Stay tuned.
Update: Shea Stadium is back open, with TV Girl playing tonight. The venue tweeted this just after midnight last night:
Is Shea ok? Shea might be the ONLY thing that's ok after today
