Shearwater streaming new LP 'Jet Plane and Oxbow' (listen)

Shearwater already released the synthy “Quiet Americans” and the folky “Only Child” off their new album Jet Plane and Oxbow (due 1/22 via Sub Pop), and now the whole thing is here to stream. It’s a really full-sounding record, with dense arrangements and a style that’s not too easy to place. It’s a little folk rock, a little art rock, but not strictly either of those things. The band’s tour hits NYC on February 6 at Mercury Lounge with Jib Kidder (sold out) and March 12 at The Bell House with Cross Record (tickets).
