Shellshag releasing split w/ Fleshies, playing shows w/ Iron Chic & more (watch a video for a new song)

DIY vets Shellshag are almost always busy with one thing or another, and right now they’re gearing up to release a split 7″ EP with Fleshies in February via Dead Broke Rekerds (pre-order). That split will include Shellshag’s new song “Trigger,” which comes with a new video that premieres in this post. The song is on the harder, noisier, darker punk side for Shellshag, and the chaotic, grainy, collage-like video is a perfect fit. Check it out below.

Shellshag and Fleshies are playing a release show in San Francisco on February 15, and Shellshag’s only other planned shows for 2020 are in NYC at Windjammer on 1/18 with Ava Mendoza, Rivers Edge (mem This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb), Unknown Sender, and Goose; and Saint Vitus on 2/28 with Iron Chic, Proper, and Night Surf (tickets).

Aside from those shows, Shellshag will be busy in 2020 working on two new albums and their film studio 94 Jewel, where the “Trigger” video was made. Shellshag are also opening their own “music & witchcraft store” in Bushwick called The Shop on February 1. “The Shop will sell & repair music equipment & all proceeds go to The Brooklyn Music School.”
