Silent Barn final schedule: Partner, Vagabon, Big Eyes, "Last Rites" & more

Long-running NYC DIY venue Silent Barn is sadly closing at the end of the month but you’ve still got a bunch of chances to hang out there, and their final schedule includes some good shows (with more sure to be announced, so stay tuned).

On Friday (4/13), Toronto’s very fun queer riff-rockers Partner play with Chumped offshoot Katie Ellen, and Early Riser (tickets). On Saturday (4/14) it’s Vagabon — whose next NYC show is opening for Courtney Barnett and Julien Baker at Prospect Park — who will play with Zenzien and L’Rain (tickets).

Also: Big Ups, Crusher and Rick Maguire on Monday, April 16; and the final Saturday (4/28) includes an “ABC No Rio In Exile Matinee” with Grey Market, Imminent Death and Locus Mortus; an evening show with Big Eyes, Concussion, Snakeskin, Psychic Judge, and Pearl (more info); and the “8 Ball Radio Presents: L8 NITE” party with Gnarcissists, Wolf Diamond, and Straw Pipes (more info).

On Sunday, April 29 there’s a “Last Rites” party at 8 PM with a funeral service, Barn family DJs + drinks, and they invite you to stop by and “say goodbye for now” ~~(but no announced lineup)~~. UPDATE: The “Last Rites” lineup has been announced, and includes Shady Hawkins, Decisions, MALLRAT, Crosslegged, YATTA, G Lucas Crane and more, as well as readings by Liz Pelly and Chris Lee, DJs, and more TBA. Tickets are on sale.
