Silent Servant

Silent Servant shares new song; Hospital Fest adds Merzbow, Oscar Mulero & more

Juan Mendez is following his 2012 debut Silent Servant album, Negative Fascination, with Shadows of Death and Desire on December 8 via Hospital Productions (pre-order). The first single is “Harm In Hand,” which is a creepy and addictive dose of gothy, industrial-tinged electronic pop. Check it out below. One of the new album’s songs, “Optimistic Decay,” sees Mendez collaborating with his Tropic of Cancer partner Camella Lobo. Stay tuned for that.

Silent Servant is celebrating the release of the album with a live set at Hospital Productions’ Hospital Fest on December 8 at Knockdown Center in Queens. The lineup for that fest has also just been expanded. It now includes Japanese noise legend Merzbow, Madrid techno vet Oscar Mulero, Vitriol, and Pod Blotz. That’s in addition to such previously-announced names as Power Trip (with Prurient), Jesu (with special guests), Kelly Moran, Final, Zohra Atash, Ron Morelli, and more. Tickets are still available. Updated lineup below.

Silent Servant also has other tour dates, and those are listed below too.
