Sinkane playing three-show Union Pool residency this month & other dates (one with Cymande)
Sinkane is going to be testing out new material this month at a three-show residency happening at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on Thursdays May 12, 19 & 26. Says Sinkane’s Ahmed Gallab:
We’ve been working on new songs for the next album and, since this project is for the children, it’s important to showcase these songs in the live setting with our fans. It’s a chance to connect and give these new jams life. Let’s have fun together, gang!
The May 12 show is with South African artist Xander Ferriera, the May 19 show features a DJ set from Eli Paperboy Reed, and the May 26 show is with Ex Reyes. Tickets to all of Sinkane’s Union Pool residency shows are on sale now.
Sinkane will also open one of the two NYC dates on British funk vets Cymande‘s tour: Brooklyn Bowl on June 14 (tickets). He’ll also be DJing at C’mon Everybody on May 14 with Jay Green (Violent Bullshit) and “special DFA guests” (tickets).
