Sleep tour is still on; Municipal Waste add more High on Fire replacements

Sleep at Brooklyn Steel
Matt Pike with Sleep at Brooklyn Steel in July (more by Mathieu Bredeau)

Since High On Fire had to drop off their tour with Municipal Waste due to Matt Pike needing a partial toe amputation (which he posted a photo of in case you don’t feel like having an appetite for the rest of the day), Municipal Waste have been attempting to add (mostly) regional acts in as many cities as possible to replace High on Fire. We already mentioned that NYC gets Nuclear Assault, and it’s since been revealed that tonight’s (11/6) show in Tampa gets Florida thrash vets Nasty Savage, and Wednesday’s (11/7) show in Atlanta gets Misfits’ Doyle (whose ongoing tour has him in that area this week). Those seem to be the only two updates but stay tuned for more. As announced from day one, the Richmond show is with GWAR. Updated dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, Matt Pike’s band Sleep confirmed that Matt will be recovered in time for their December tour. They write:

For those asking :

Matt is recovering and in good spirits.

We’ll see you on the road in December.

Good news! All Sleep dates are listed below too.
