Sleeper are back, working on first new LP since the '90s, touring

Britpop era band Sleeper, who had five Top 20 UK hits in the ’90s, broke up after releasing their third album (1997’s Pleased to Meet You), but reformed last year with original members Louise Wener, Jon Stewart, and Andy Maclure and are currently working on their first new album in what will be 22 years. They’ve just launched a Pledgemnusic campaign for the album which they say will be out in early 2019.

Sleeper just wrapped up a short UK tour and have more UK dates in late summer and fall. Those are listed, along with some of their classic ’90s videos, below.

After Sleeper called it quits, Louise Wener turned to writing, penning novels Goodnight Steve McQueen in 2002 and The Perfect Play in 2005, and memoir Different For Girls in 2010 — all of which are worth seeking out.
