The 3/4 reunited version of The Smashing Pumpkins have been talking about a new album produced by Rick Rubin for a while now, and more fuel was added to that fire today on Lauren Laverne’s BBC Radio show (via Pitchfork). She said the album is confirmed, and she debuted the band’s new song “Silvery Sometime (Ghosts),” which was co-produced by Rick Rubin and current Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder. Listen around the 1:52:40 mark and check out a teaser of the song below.

This follows the previously released “Solara,” the first song with Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin all in the mix in 18 years.
