Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa brought their summer tour with Kevin Gates, Casey Veggies, Jhene Aiko and DJ Drama to the NYC area this week, playing Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on August 9. This was the second recent stop in the area, as the tour stopped in at NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center the previous week.
While all who got into the show were presumably treated to a chilled-out, marijuana-centric rap show, the evening was not without drama (and we’re not talking about the DJ), as 75 people were arrested before the show for “underage drinking, driving while intoxicated and illegal drug use.” 50 people had to be treated for alcohol poisoning at what was apparently some kind of tailgate for the show. Don’t you know it’s Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa kids! Just smoke some weed before the show!
And this was also not the first incident of potentially dangerous drama on this tour, as there was that scary stage collapse at the NJ show.
