Soul Control releasing EP on Bridge 9 (song & video premiere), playing Santos (and other dates)

You make recognize the name Soul Control already. Every time I look up, the Providence band is seemingly out on the road again and teamed up with names like Strike Anywhere and Iron Chic (who they’ll join at Santos on June 30th). The band is preparing to hit the road to play Europe in late July, but before that they’ll welcome their new EP Get Out Now via Bridge 9 Records. You can preorder it now. It hits the racks on July 12th. Order it on 7″ vinyl with/out a tee, but make sure and download the digital bonus track “Hodad Song”. The guitar tone on that bonus track is about as close to Floor’s as I have ever heard…. thats a great thing.
Like Doomriders, Soul Control is rooted in hardcore but concerns themselves with doom, crust, and plain old rock n’roll. No breakdowns or tough guy shit here, just pedal to the floor punk rock and thundering doom screamalongs. Check out one track “Snake” below (it’s a simultaneous song and video premiere).
