Soul Rebels playing NYC w/ Talib Kweli & GZA after Wonderful World fest

NOLA brass band The Soul Rebels recently announced that they’ll be returning to NYC for the Action Bronson-headlined Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World Festival in Flushing Meadows Corona Park  Colden Auditorium on July 21, and today they revealed that they’ll be sticking around that day for a late-night show at the Blue Note (12:30 AM) with special guest appearances from two great rappers that they’ve collaborated with before: Talib Kweli and GZA. They’ll also be joined by jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold. Tickets are on sale.

UPDATE New location:

Due to weather concerns including forecasted winds exceeding 40mph, tomorrow’s Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World Festival has relocated to the intimate Colden Auditorium at the Kupferberg Center For The Arts (65-30 Kissena Blvd, Flushing).

Seats will be available on a first come, first serve basis, and all VIP ticket holders will be guaranteed with seats in the first few rows.

Transportation directions to the Kupferberg Center For The Arts are available here.
