Sound on Sound Fest underway (Beach House, DEP, Thursday & more to come)
The awesome, inaugural Texas music festival Sound on Sound (aka the new Fun Fun Fun) is underway. It kicked off yesterday (11/4) with Descendents, Run the Jewels, Death Grips, Guided by Voices, Touche Amore, Beach Slang, Planes Mistaken for Stars, and more. Check out a few pictures, via the SOS Fest Instagram, in this post.
The fest continues today (11/5) with The Dillinger Escape Plan, Beach House, Deerhunter, Youth of Today, Aesop Rock, Big Boi, Girls Against Boys (who also just played NYC), and more.
Then things wrap up on Sunday (11/6) with Explosions in the Sky, Carcass, Big Freedia, Baroness, Courtney Barnett, Young Thug, Thursday, Bob Mould, White Lung, and more. Full lineup/schedule here.
UPDATE: The festival had to evacuate on Sunday due to weather, but it reopened a few hours later, moved a few sets around, and went on as planned:
