Musician Gisela Fulla-Silvestre was born in Barcelona, came to the U.S. to get her degree in film scoring/sound design at UC Berkeley, and now lives in NYC where she makes music as NOIA. She’ll release her debut EP, Habits, on October 14 via Cascine in the U.S. (and Spain’s Galaxxxy Sandwich, and Mexico’s Buen Dia Records). The first single is “Nostalgia Del Futuro” which has a dreamlike, sultry vibe that fits right in on Cascine. (Its title could also be a slogan for the label.) It’s lovely stuff and you can check it out below.

NOIA will make her NYC live debut at Trans-Pecos on October 13, a record release show with Southern Shores, Soft Ethnic, a DJ set from Lemonade. Tickets are on sale.

Meawhile, Southern Shores, the Toronto balearic duo whose EPs were among Cascine’s first releases, just released their debut album, Loja, via the label. You can check can stream the album via Hype Machine below.
