Spike Jonze named co-prez of Viceland, made a video for Colbert starring Grover; FKA twigs directed “Good to Love” video
Filmmaker Spike Jonze made a new short film that served as the intro for The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last week. The sad, weird, funny video features Stephen wandering around NYC looking forlorn, before he meets and befriends Grover from Sesame Street. It’s about as Spike Jonze-y as that sounds, and you can watch that below.
Spike is also currently acting as the co-president for Viceland, Vice’s TV network that just launched over the weekend. Have you checked out Viceland yet?
In vaguely related (ok not actually really related) news, FKA twigs can add “director” to her impressive list of credentials, as she directed a new music video for her song “Good To Love,” which also doubles as a Calvin Klein ad, and shows twigs dancing intimately with dancer Kaner Flex while they both wear Calvin Klein. You can watch that below via Nowness. You can catch FKA twigs live in NYC this summer as part of the first-ever Panorama.
In addition to FKA Twigs, Calvin Klein has a bunch of musicians involved in their current #mycalvins ad campaign, including Kendrick Lamar, Fetty Wap, Joey Bada$$, and of course Justin Bieber.
Watch the Spike Jonze/Colbert video and the FKA Twigs video below.
