Spotify subscribers get free Hulu

Spotify has been offering a discounted subscription bundle that gave you access to Spotify premium and video streaming service Hulu (with ads) for $12.99 per month. Now they’re going one further and offering free ad-supported Hulu subscriptions to Spotify premium users on the $9.99 per month plan. Users who already have the $12.99 deal will have their rates reduced to $9.99 automatically, and new users can sign up through the Your Services page on Spotify.

There are a few caveats. To get the reduced price, you need to claim a deal by June 10, or “while supplies last.” Additionally, Variety reports that Hulu-via-Spotify users won’t have the option to add on Hulu Live TV, or premium network add-ons like HBO, Showtime, and Starz. For those, or for the ad-free service, you’ll have to sign up for a separate Hulu account. The Hulu deal also does not apply to Spotify Family subscribers. You can read the full offer terms here.

If you’re wondering what to watch on Hulu, their new original series Pen15 is a very funny, R-rated look at the awkwardness of middle school-era adolescence (and its theme song is Bikini Kill’s “Demirep.”) There’s also Hulu’s Fyre Festival documentary, an upcoming series about Wu-Tang Clan, and more.
