St Vincent Masseduction

St Vincent announces new album 'Masseduction,' shares 'Los Ageless"

St Vincent recently released her excellent single “New York” (and its video), and she’s been teasing her highly anticipated new album, and now details on that album are finally here. It’s called Masseduction and it’s due out on October 13 via Loma Vista. That’s the album artwork above.

St Vincent also released a second single, which is (sort of) also named after a US city, “Los Ageless.” (She recently played it live and introduced it just as “LA.”) Compared to the hearbreaking piano ballad “New York,” this one’s powered by some upbeat industrial synths and it’s keeping hopes very high for this new album. Listen below.

The album was co-produced by St Vincent and Jack Antonoff, and it features Thomas Bartlett (aka Doveman) on piano, Kamasi Washington on sax, Jenny Lewis on guest vocals, and beat production from TDE’s in-house producer Sounwave. There’s also pedal steel by Greg Leisz and Rich Hinman, and some additional guitar and vocals (respectively) from Tuck and Patti Andress. Check out the tracklist below. Learn more in a press conference on Facebook Live that’s underway right now.

St Vincent is also touring, including two shows at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre in December. 12/2 is sold out, but tickets for 12/3 are still available.
