With the Grammys return to NYC just over a week away, we’re seeing some last-minute show announcements from big artists playing smaller venues than usual, like Eminem, The National, and Childish Gambino, all of whom are playing Irving Plaza. Now there’s another series of Grammy week shows, and this one is free, if you have a Mastercard. “Mastercard House” happens at Skylight Studios at 60 Tenth Avenue, between 14th and 15th streets, in NYC. It’s open to the public daily from noon until 5 PM, and the music sessions, which are from 9 PM-midnight, are open to 21+ cardholders. From Mastercard’s site:

For Mastercard House Sessions: Bring your Mastercard for complimentary entry on a first come, first served basis. If you come to the House during the day and show or register for Masterpass, you will be given a VIP band, which gives you expedited entry for that night only. Names will be verified at time of check-in. All parties must arrive together. 21+ valid photo ID is required to gain access. Arrive early as capacity is limited and based on availability. RSVP does not guarantee admission. All guests are subject to full security and bag check upon arrival before entrance. Coat check is not available on site.

The schedule, which you can see in full below, includes St. Vincent and Maggie Rogers on January 23, SZA on January 24, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, and Ghostface Killah with Raekwon on January 25, and Portugal. The Man and Francis and The Lights on January 26.

Along with the Citi Sound Vault shows at Irving Plaza, other Grammy week events include The Ally Coalition’s 4th Annual “Talent Show” at Town Hall with Bleachers, Lorde, members of The National, members of Spoon, Shamir, Kacey Musgraves, and more on January 24, and the MusiCares 2018 Person of the Year Gala at Radio City Music Hall with Fleetwood Mac, Haim, John Legend, Lorde and more on January 26. Then of course there are the awards themselves, which Kendrick Lamar, U2, Sam Smith, Elton John, SZA, Childish Gambino, Lady Gaga, Cardi B (with Bruno Mars), Logic, and Kesha are so far among those slated to perform at.
