Stars share two new songs from new LP; Emily Haines preps solo LP

Broken Social Scene are back, Feist has a great new album and now comes news that Stars have also returned, having shared two new songs today and an album via Last Gang records on the way:

Hello. we’re back. we have a new album. it was recorded in Montreal and Connecticut with the great producer Peter Katis. We love him and thank him for being there for us. It’s our first with our friends at Last Gang. We made this record for ourselves, for our kids, and for you. And we are so happy and grateful that you’re still listening to our music. here’s a couple of songs from the record

Both “Privilege” and “We Called it Love” have that swaggering romance that Stars are associated with, and you can stream both tracks below.

While we talking about the BSS Universe, Metric’s Emily Haines has a new solo album, Choir of the Mind, which will be out September 15 also via Last Gang. It’s her first solo album in over 10 years and was co-produced by her Metric bandmate James Shaw. You can watch the video for first single “Fatal Gift” below.
