Steve Reich curating shows w/ Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly, Bang on a Can

Steve Reich

As always, Carnegie Hall has some interesting shows coming up, like Angélique Kidjo and Friends on 4/22, a free show at National Sawdust in Williamsburg on 4/22, and two shows curated by Steve Reich

Steve Reich curates Three Generations, concerts that trace the development of a new music, from his pioneering generation to composers associated with the Bang on a Can collective and on to the young innovators of today. Avoid a generation gap, and get inside the music as the composers and performers candidly discuss their work during each concert.

Mr. Reich, who recently turned 80, will also be in attendance and part of a live discussion with the performers at both of these shows:

* Wednesday, April 19 at 7:30 PM w/ David Lang, Julia Wolfe, and Michael Gordon (tickets)

* Wednesday, April 26 at 7:30 PM w/ Bryce Dessner of the National and Nico Muhly (tickets)
