Rockabilly vets and Massapequa, Long Island natives Stray Cats reunited for their first show in 9 years in 2018, and earlier this year they announced their first album in over 20 years, 40, and their first tour in a decade to support it. That tour hit The Rooftop at Pier 17 in NYC on Wednesday night (8/7), for a show that found the band sounding as good as ever, running through their many hits (including “Rock This Town,” “Runaway Boys,” and “Stray Cat Strut”), a handful of covers, and some new material, as well.
