Selene Vigil, singer of riot grrrl vets 7 Year Bitch, releases her first solo album in seven years, Tough Dance, this Friday (11/17). The album was made with co-writer Ben London, guitarist/producer Ryan Leyva (Brent Amaker & the Rodeo, Full Toilet), bassist Drew Church (Mark Lanegan, Jeremy Enigk), and drummer Davey Brozowski (Modest Mouse, Broken Bells), and it has Selene sort of going in a dark, desert-y garage rock direction.
