stream 88rising's 'Head In The Clouds' crew LP

The 88rising record label has jsut dropped their anticipated crew album Head In The Clouds, which features most of the label’s artists, including Rich Brian, Joji, Higher Brothers, NIKI, Keith Ape and AUGUST 08. The album features some additional guest rappers as well, such as 03 Greedo, Playboi Carti, BlocBoy JB, GoldLink, Yung Bans, and others. Despite the album’s length of 17 tracks, the album as a whole feels surprisingly cohesive, with each track showcasing the versatility of the label’s roster. The record delivers a blend of more upbeat, party-ready tracks, like the hyper “Let It Go,” and the bass-knocking “Disrespectin,” with mellower, R&B-influenced cuts featuring vocals from Joji and NIKI, such as “Plans” and the title track. You can stream the album below.

In promotion of the album, 88rising has shared several videos for tracks appearing on the record, including the video for Rich Brian’s “History,” which features a ton of clips of famous fictional on-screen couples. In addition, Rich Brian and Joji appeared together on Hot Ones (having both previously done it separately), and as expected, it’s a highly entertaining watch. You can watch all those videos below.

The whole 88rising crew will be going on tour later this year, which includes a stop at NYC’s Pier 17 on October 3 (tickets). The label will also be throwing their Head In The Clouds Festival in LA in September. All dates are listed below.
