Animal Flag Void Ripper

stream Animal Flag's post-rocky "Fair"

As mentioned, Animal Flag are touring with Sorority Noise this year and also releasing a new album, Void Ripper, on April 13 via Sorority Noise singer Cam Boucher’s Triple Crown imprint Flower Girl Records (pre-order). You already heard lead single “Why,” and we’re now premiering another track from the album, “Fair.” The six-minute song finds the middle ground between post-rock, emo, and soaring alternative rock, kind of like a cross between Appleseed Cast/Foxing type bands and Manchester Orchestra. Like all three of those bands do, Animal Flag really give it 110% on this one, and they offer up a few moments of true catharsis. Listen below.

Animal Flag’s tour with Sorority Noise includes the Asbury Park show on April 1 at House of Independents and the Brooklyn show on April 2 at Baby’s All Right, both with Remo Drive and Jelani Sei (and both sold out). Animal Flag also have a headlining LP release show in NYC on April 27 at Trans-Pecos with Oso Oso (solo), Fits and Gauntly (tickets). All dates are listed below.

Sorority Noise, Remo Drive, and Jelani Sei also play NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on April 5 without Animal Flag (also sold out).
