stream Signo Rojo's new 'End of Tether' EP

Signo Rojo are celebrating their 10th year as a band this year, and they’ve also got a couple releases planned. They’re self-releasing the new three-song EP End Of Tether this Friday (2/15) (pre-order), and all proceeds from the EP will go towards making their next full-length, which is also due this year. The band says:

Our latest EP End Of Tether is not only the kick-off point for our ten-year celebration as a band, it is also a testament to our diehard no-frills DIY ethic. Everything from the recording and mining down to the artwork was handled by the band. We are currently working on a full-length album that will drop later on in the year. Any and all revenue from End Of Tether is going straight into the production of the new record. Support true independent music!

If you’re unfamiliar with Signo Rojo, this killer EP would be a fine place to start. They may hail from Sweden but their mix of punk and sludge metal sounds like it comes from the Georgia scene that birthed bands like Mastodon, Baroness, Kylesa, and Black Tusk. If you like that kinda stuff, you’ll almost definitely like this too. These three songs nail a balance between melody and heaviosity, and they’re a blast to listen to. A full stream of the EP premieres below.
