stream Single Mothers' "Leash" off upcoming LP
Snotty Canadian punks Single Mothers are releasing their sophomore album Our Pleasure on June 16 via Dine Alone (pre-order), and we’re premiering a new song from it, “Leash.” As mentioned, frontman Drew Thomson recorded this one with a different band than Single Mothers’ debut LP, and things sound just a bit different this time around. On “Leash,” Drew’s speak-sung delivery still recalls Craig Finn but this is a slower, more melodic song for Single Mothers. It sounds a bit like a rawer version of something off (recent Craig Finn tourmates) Japandroids’ new album. Listen below.
Single Mothers have a few release shows in Canada, but no US tour dates yet. Stay tuned.
