Philly hardcore band Soul Glo put out a tour tape and an EP last year, but now they’re finally set to follow their great 2016 album Untitled with a new full-length, The N**** In Me Is Me, this Friday (6/7) via SRA Records. It’s got just nine songs — less than half the amount of songs that Untitled has — and all of them are rippers that see Soul Glo continuing to push their sound forward. In addition to their usual whiplash-inducing hardcore, the new record’s got some hip hop influence and a noise track (titled “Noise Tracc” — all the other song titles are numbers), and everything comes together to form the kind of killer record that leaves an impression on first listen.

Soul Glo also have some upcoming shows, including their previously mentioned Brooklyn gig opening for Choking Victim and The World/Inferno Friendship Society on June 15 at Market Hotel (tickets).
