stream Thin Lips' "Gaslight Anthem (The Song Not The Band)"

Philly’s Thin Lips recently announced their new album Chosen Family, due July 27 via Lame-O Records (pre-order physical or digital), and shared lead single “A Song For Those Who Miss You All The Time.” We’re now premiering a second single, the awesomely titled “Gaslight Anthem (The Song Not The Band).” The first single showed a slightly slower and cleaner of Thin Lips, but this one’s closer to the crunchier, punkier sound of their debut. Though, like the first single, it’s also got a more spacious sound to it, allowing for things like more complex lead guitar beneath Chrissy Tashjian’s melodic shouts. It’s also got guest backing vocals from three of the band’s talented Philly pals: Frances Quinlan (Hop Along), Brendan Lukens (Modern Baseball), and Zoe Reynolds (Kississippi). It’s a super enjoyable dose of indie-punk, and you can hear it for yourself below.

As mentioned, Thin Lips also have an upcoming tour with Hop Along (who Chrissy Tashjian is currently a live member of), and then a tour with Slaughter Beach, Dog (the band led by Modern Baseball’s Jake Ewald). They also have a hometown date with Japandroids beforehand. All dates are listed below.
