Strung Out releasing acoustic EP (stream "Town of Corazon")

Metallic skate punk vets Strung Out are releasing a new acoustic EP, Black Out The Sky, on May 11 via Fat Wreck Chords (pre-order). It features six new songs, as well as acoustic renditions of classics “Unkoil” and “Matchbook.” We’re premiering the new song “Town of Corazon,” which is exactly the kind of song you want when you hear a skate punk band is going acoustic. It’s still got choppy power chords, a big anthemic chorus, and punky melodic leads, just with a more tender approach. Singer Jason Cruz tells us the song “is about the heart as if it were a place. The corridors and the people and memories that live there. They say all things actually originate from the heart. It’s the first organ to develop in the womb and everything is built around it.” Listen below.

Strung Out are also touring the US and Canada with Pennywise, starting this week. All dates are listed on the tour poster below.
