Summer People get ready to 'Burn The Germs' (stream a track)

Summer People

There’s a sleazy swagger to Summer People‘s new single, ” I Do What I Want,” from their forthcoming LP Burn the Germs. Due on April 23, the song shows a seedy-punk-rock, bottom-of-the-barrel attitude, not unlike that of favorites like The Cramps or Nick Cave. Check out the new track below for the first time.

Summer People are playing a Albany on Friday (3/1) as part of great college station WCDB’s 35th Anniversary Festival with The Pains of Being Pure At Heart (who play the sold-out Indie Pop Prom at 285 Kent tomorrow night, 2/28) and Oberhofer. No NYC dates for them, unfortunately, but they’re more-or-less local, so keep your eyes peeled. What dates they do have are below.
