Sun Kil Moon detail new LP ‘This is My Dinner,’ share Partridge Family cover

Mark Kozelek’s new Sun Kil Moon album is titled This Is My Dinner and will be out November 18 via Caldo Verde. The album was written during Sun Kil Moon’s November 2017 European tour, and recorded across four days at studios in Copenhagen and San Francisco, featuring Tony Scherr, Jim White, Scott McPherson, Ben Boye, Ramon Fermin, Chris Connolly and special guest Jordan Cook. The record includes covers of The Partridge Family’s “Come On Get Happy,” and AC/DC’s “Rock ‘N’ Roll Singer,” as well as John Connolly’s “Chapter 87 of He” set to music. The Partridge Family cover immediately follows a song named after Partridge Family singer David Cassidy (who died last November). You can listen to “Come On Get Happy” here, and check out the album art and tracklist below.

Kozelek recently released a new solo album and has another album, a collaboration with saxophonist Donny McCaslin (of David Bowie’s Blackstar album) and Jim White (of The Dirty Three), due out early next year. You can catch Mark on tour starting in September and he’ll play NYC’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on 9/7 (tickets).
