Sun Ra Arkestra played the Interference A.V. Festival at AMC Empire 25 (pics)

The Interference A.V. Festival, presented by Clocktower and Times Square Arts, wrapped up on Wednesday night (2/21) with a capacity performance by the great Sun Ra Arkestra. The 16-member ensemble, led by 93-year-old Marshall Allen, played 45 minutes past the 10 PM curfew and played through the theater and crowd twice. Pictures from the night, including ones of YATTA‘s opening set, are in the gallery above.

There was also the zine fair, which Wednesday was DJ’d by Lea Bertucci and, as with the Jlin and Lightnight Bolt shows, projections were created by UNDERVOLT & CO. artists Peter Burr and Sabrina Ratté.
