We knew that Lower East Side movie house Sunshine Cinema was closing this month and now Deadline reports that the closing date will be January 21. You’ve got 11 more days to see a movie there and in addition to regular programming (Golden Globe winners Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri and Darkest Hour, plus In Between, and Hostiles), they’re also showing Tommy Wiseau‘s cult film The Room nightly and Wiseau will be there in person to introduce it on January 12, 13, and 14.

There are also Midnight screenings of Super Fly and Dog Day Afternoon on January 19 & 20. Tickets for all Sunshine Cinema screenings are on sale.

The Room is showing on 600 screens tonight (1/10) across the country (its widest release ever).

Landmark Theaters, which owns Sunshine, recently opened the The Landmark at 57 West multiplex which mixes the kind of indie releases Sunshine specialized in with more mainstream movies.
