It's Träd, Dad!

Swedish prog vets Trad Gras Och Stenar touring w/ Endless Boogie

Swedish prog rock band Träd, Gräs Och Stenar only existed in their original incarnation from 1969 to 1972, but have reformed a few times over the years. The current incarnation of the band is led by Jakob Sjöholm (who joined in 1970) and also includes Reine Fiske of Dungen and The Amazing. Under the name Träden (which is what the group are known as for short), they released a new, self-titled album in 2017 which carries on in the group’s improvisational, crescendoing style in fine form. (SAVAK had it as one of their 2017 faves.) You can stream that and their 1970 self-titled LP below.

Träd Gräs Och Stenar will be on tour in North America with like minded Brooklynites Endless Boogie, starting September 21 in San Francisco (a show that’s also with Ryley Walker), and includes dates in Los Angeles, Philly, DC, Chicago and Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 28 (tickets). There are more shows than those — all dates are listed below.
