Swingin’ Utters touring; guitarist Darius Koski opening & releasing new solo LP
Swingin’ Utters guitarist and songwriter Darius Koski also leads a folky solo career and he’ll release his next album, What Was Once Is By And Gone, on November 3 via Fat Wreck Chords (pre-order). We’re premiering “Black Sheep” off that album, a rollicking folk rocker which Darius says this about:
“Black Sheep” is one of my favorites on the album. It was a riff I had lying around for a while, that for some reason I had pretty high expectations for. It took a while to get out of my own head and forget about my lofty aspirations and just finish the damn thing. I think I must’ve been on one of my Kinks jags because it reminds me of one of their songs, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!
Listen to the new song below.
Darius is also touring as an opening act for Swingin’ Utters (he’s pulling double duty), including a NYC show on November 11 at Bowery Electric with Western Settings on the bill too. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
