With only ten days remaining until the start of SXSW, the festival has released its comedy lineup. Programming includes live showcases, podcast recordings, and more, not to mention some of BrooklynVegan’s favorite breakout stars of 2017. The SXSW Comedy Festival is open to all SXSW Badges, Music Festival and Film Festival Wristband holders. Here are some highlights.

All three co-creators of Comedy Central’s excellent new series Corporate — Jake Weisman, Matt Ingebretson, and Pat Bishop — will be leading a “Corporate Retreat” that also features co-stars Aparna Nancherla, Baron Vaughn, and Adam Lustick.

Nancherla will also be bringing Butterboy Comedy, the weekly NYC live comedy series she cohosts with Jo Firestone and Maeve Higgins, to SXSW with This Is Not Happening host Roy Wood Jr., with more comics to be announced. Firestone will also join fellow New York comedians Conner O’Malley and Joe Pera, for a showcase performance and sneak peak of Joe’s upcoming Adult Swim live-action comedy, Joe Pera Talks With You.

Podcast tapings include Comedy Bang! Bang!, Doug Loves Movies, and Matt Besser’s improv4humans. Besser is also going to be a part of the festival’s ASSSSCAT performance.

Dave Hill opens the comedy festival on Friday, March 9 with a conversation with Dick Cavett, which will touch on Cavett’s entire career, from his days writing for Jack Parr on The Tonight Show to The Dick Cavett Show and more. Hill is also performing as one-half of Witch Taint, the faux black metal band (with an involved backstory) formed with Phil Costello.

Bill Hader is also set to appear at the festival as a guest on film historian Leonard Maltin‘s podcast Maltin On Movies. Hader’s new HBO show Barry also premieres at the festival.

Other notable guests include Happy Ending‘s Adam Pally, who will host Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star Rachel Bloom, and the rest of the cast of the film Most Likely to Murder for an evening of “music and stories about growing up.”

There are tons of other big names on the fest, such as Jim Gaffigan, Jermaine Fowler, Liza Treyger, Nick Thune, Sean Patton, and more. View the full list of SXSW Comedy participants below.

BrooklynVegan will at SXSW too, hosting our second annual Lost Weekend Day Parties at Cheer Up Charlies from March 15-17.
