The third night of Dave Chappelle‘s 16-show Radio City run was last night (8/3), with the absolutely stacked bill of The Roots, Usher and Big Boi joining him. Like at night one and night two, there were surprise unannounced guests too. This time it was Big Boi collaborator Sleepy Brown, fellow ATLien T.I., and New York hip hop/beatboxing legend Doug E. Fresh. Like at the first two nights, Donnell Rawlings (as his Chappelle’s Show character Ashy Larry) was in the house too. One of many treats during the night was when Chappelle, Doug E. Fresh, Usher, T.I., and Black Thought from The Roots performed Doug E. and Slick Rick’s “La Di Da Di.” Andy Singer attended and wrote:

…the memories burned in my brain from the greatest night of my life will play on forever! Let me tell a little of our EPIC night second row Radio City Music Hall. DJ Trauma starts off the night and then my brother @donnellrawlings of course has all of Radio City in tears of laughter. Then out comes the greatest comedian/storyteller ever Dave Chappelle. Follow that up with Usher who is one great entertainer for sure, then Big Boi crushed it, some more Usher then a surprise from T.I. brought the house down. The whole time all the music is being played by The Roots and Questlove is the heartbeat of the night and the whole time Black Thought just lyrically slayed it! But wait, about half way through the show my wife says to me look behind you, it’s Doug E. Fresh so I turn and there is a legend behind me. Towards the end of the music show Dave Chappelle is down in the crowd with everyone dancing and just being a fan and he and Doug E Fresh grab each other and Dave just pulls him up on stage. 10 minutes later Doug E Fresh is closing out the show beat boxing La Di Da Di with T.I., Usher, Black Thought and Dave singing it. WOW

Like at every show on the run, cell phones were locked up so there isn’t much in the way of photos or videos, but you can check out some more Instagrams and Tweets below.

The run continues tonight (8/4), and the only billed guest is The Roots. Guests on remaining shows include Chris Rock, Erykah Badu, Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Lauryn Hilll, Solange, Mos Def, and more. Tickets for select nights are still available.
