Tacocat share "I Hate the Weekend" video, playing BrooklynVegan day party and other SXSW shows before tour

Tacocat have made a video for “I Hate the Weekend,” the lead single which is on the band’s new album Lost Time (not the only X-Files reference on the LP). The song takes on weekend party animals who have made thei band’s neighborhood unbearable but the video, directed by Jessica Aceti, settles for everyone having a good time (maybe too good of a time). The band are currently in Austin, TX where they’ve already played one of their many SXSW week shows that include a stop at BrooklynVegan’s Friday free day party at Cheer Up Charlies (RSVP).

After Austin, Tacocat will make their way East, hitting NYC for two shows April 12 at Mercury Lounge with Boyfriends, Daddy Issues, and IANand (tickets); and Palisades on April 13 with Lisa Prank and more TBA (tickets).
