Duck Down Records (meaning Buckshot, Smif N Wessun, Torae, Ruste Juxx, Marco Polo, "and more") will showcase their infinite rhymes with a show at NYC record store Fat Beats along with Black Milk (with a live band), AG (of DITC and Showbiz & AG fame), Von Pea (of Tanya Morgan), 88 Keys, Soul Khan, and DeeJay Element in celebration of Record Store Day Saturday (4/17). the happy (& prolific) couple: Georgia Anne Muldrow & Dudley Perkins with their son
Georgia

You may know Dudley Perkins by his nom de guerre, Declaime. The Madlib collaborator has released quite a few LPs under both of his pseudonyms as well as with Georgia Anne Muldrow aka Patti Blingh. The duo crafts some serious California FONK, and will unleash said booty-shakers upon SOB's in NYC on Feb 28th and at Fat Beats for an in-store earlier that day. Tickets are on sale for SOBs. The pair recently dropped the vinyl/iTunes only Heaven or Hell and will release the SomeOthaShip LP via Mello Music (digital 2/16, physical 2/23). Dig on "Endure" from the EP, and "Get Up" from the LP above.

Royce the 5'9 has recently been making moves with Slaughterhouse, the hip hop "supergroup" featuring Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, and Joe Budden. Both Royce 5'9 and Crooked I are scheduled to perform at SOBs on March 9th, but no word on if the NYC/NJ based half of Slaughterhouse (Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden) will make an appearance. Tickets are on sale

Kidz In The Hall's new LP Land of Make Believe lands on Duck Down Records on March 9th, and the duo will hit the road for a pair of dates with 88 Keys, Izza Kizza and Doonis including Highline Ballroom on 2/28 and Ram's Head in Baltimore on 3/4. Tickets for Highline are on sale.

Some videos (including KITH's "Jokebox" and "We Gone") and all tour dates are below...

As you would expect him to do at a showcase of rappers signed to his own GOOD Music label, Kanye West made an appearance at Knitting Factory in NYC last night (Sept 9). The whole show went: 88 Keys, Termanology, Big Sean, Mickey Factz, Kid Cudi, and then Consequence. Wale did some deejaying between sets. Kanye West came out during Consequence's set. They did "Gone" and "Flashing Lights" and a few of Consequence's songs. Then, as he's done before with his cousin Consequence, Q-Tip joined them on stage. Then Kid Cudi came back out and eventually pretty much everyone from the night was on stage by the end. As expected, people went nuts for Kanye.

In related news,

The release date and title for Kanye West's upcoming fourth solo album has been revealed.

According to a posting on Target's website, Kanye's album is titled 808's & Heartbreak and will be hitting stores on December 16th.

West performed a single from the album titled "Love Lockdown" at the MTV Video Music Awards this past weekend.
