A$AP Rocky @ Fun Fun Fun Fest - 11/03/2012

If A$AP Rocky has anything going for him besides a few internet rap hits and some memorable moments dropping in on his friends' shows, it's that he's already got some pretty far out stories to tell. He recently revealed an interview with Hard Knock TV that he smoked weed with Daft Punk on his tour bus (hopefully in Colorado). Now he just needs to get them to play at his house!
He also declared himself a factor in evolving society's views on homosexuality. "I kicked down the door for kids that's my age, older and younger, to be able to wear Jeremy Scott sneakers, rips in their jeans and not feel gay," Rocky says. Because of him, kids can wear whatever they want and not have to worry about being mistaken for being gay. Yeah, that doesn't sound homophobic at all (it's a start though) (watch the whole thing in the video below - he means well).
He's also taken his fashion to another level, and now has his own limited edition T-shirt line. You can purchase one while supplies last at Karma Loop.
In 2013, he'll be able to add another epic story to his resumé, when he heads out on tour with Rihanna. That tour comes to NYC for the previously discussed show at Barclays Center on May 4, which is sold out, and also hits the same venue one day later (5/5), which tickets are on sale for now. Hopefully Rocky will have his new album, LongLiveA$AP, out by then which he has kept delaying. He's now hoping to get it out during the first quarter of 2013.
As mentioned, you can also catch A$AP Mob with A-Trak at Best Buy Theater on November 29 and A$AP Twelvy at Highline Ballroom on November 22.
A$AP Rocky also just played Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin this past weekend (as did Run DMC). You can check out more pictures from his set (like the one above), the video of that Hard Knock TV interview, and a list of all upcoming tour dates, below....
A$AP Mob at Roseland Ballroom in September (more by Brook Bobbins)

A$AP Rocky and his A$AP Mob are on tour now with Schoolboy Q and Danny Brown, and as mentioned, when it wraps up, A$AP Twelvy will play his own show at Highline Ballroom on November 22 (tickets). You'll also have a chance to catch the full A$AP Mob again in NYC soon after that when they play Best Buy Theater on November 29 with A-Trak, who just played a Fool's Gold show at Music Hall of Williamsburg during CMJ. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (10/26) at noon.
Updated dates listed below.

A$AP Mob at Roseland Ballroom in September (more by Brook Bobbins)

A$AP Twelvy is currently on tour with Rocky and the rest of the A$AP Mob, but upon returning home, he'll headline his show in NYC on November 22 at HIghline Ballroom, billed as "A$AP Twelvy & Friends." Tickets for that show go on sale today (10/12) at noon.
Meanwhile, that tour had a short break this week during which soccer video game commercial star A$AP Rocky briefly returned home to NYC, and while he was here, he and Gucci Mane came out as guests at Waka Flocka Flame's Irving Plaza show, which went down this past Tuesday (10/9). You can check out a video of that below. Rocky comes out around 6:03 and in typical Rocky-making-a-surprise-appearance fashion, pretty much blows up the stage at that point.
The short break in the A$AP tour ended last night (10/11) when the mob (and Schoolboy Q and Danny Brown) hit Chicago's Congress Theater and it continues tonight (10/12) in Milwaukee. Pics from the NYC stop at Roseland Ballroom are HERE.
It's too bad that Rocky will be too busy in Salt Lake City to make another trip home for the Flatbush Zombies show at Santos (10/17) during CMJ.

Speaking of hip hop shows at the Highline, Curren$y's Jet Life crew is doing a record release party for Jet Life World Order 2 at Highline Ballroom on November 20, two days before the A$AP Twelvy show. The exact lineup of who will be performing at this show has not been announced yet, other than "special invited guests." Tickets for the show go on sale today (10/12) at noon. Jet Life World Order 2 drops the same day as the release show (11/20) via iHipHop Distribution/Jets International and you can stream the first single, "No Sleep" (feat. feat. Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy & Curren$y), below. The album will also feature Smoke DZA and others. That's the cover art above.

A$AP Rocky & friends @ Roseland Ballroom - 9/27/12

A$AP Rocky brought his "LongLiveA$AP" Tour with Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q to NYC for a show at Roseland Ballroom this past Thursday (9/27). After their opening sets, both Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q joined Rocky during his set, as did Flatbush Zombies, who were joined by Rocky at their recent Music Hall of Williamsburg show, and Bodega BAMZ. Here's what The Source had to say about the show...
Just before the clock struck 8, Danny Brown hit the stage, opening with "Wit It", which seemed to be the perfect song to get the audience properly turnt up. Danny followed with his araabMuzik produced-single "Molly Ringwald", and then went in to "Black Brad Pitt". After turning it down for the fourth song, Danny picked the energy back up again with "My Radio Song", having the crowd help him rap the chorus. Before leaving the stage at 8:30, Danny did a little rendition of ScHoolboy & Ab-Soul's track "Druggys Wit Hoes", then ran through a couple more tracks with the crowd chiming in again, including "Monopoly" and "Blunt After Blunt"...More pictures and videos from the show are below....ScHoolboy came out at 8:45, setting a mellow mood by performing the first verse of "Sacreligious" and following up with "Oxy Music", two of the slower tracks off his latest release Habits N Contradictions. "All the real ScHoolboy fans make some noise! If you don't know anything, you can bet I got some... what?!" shouted Q, before getting into "Bet I Got Sum Weed", which everyone around me took as an opportunity to spark up...
...Sporting a brown leather sweater and black shorts, Rocky finally hit the stage, performing a new track. "I'm still that pretty motherf***a, you know Harlem's what I'm reppin!" he shouted. A mob hit the stage, everyone shouting "Swag!" again and again. "Jesus walked on water, I'm preaching to the choir," rapped rocky, with a light show behind him crazy enough to cause an epileptic seizure... I know alot of artists over-exaggerate, and say that their concerts were "a movie", but if Rocky and the Mob were to describe their concert like that, it wouldn't be a lie. At one point, there were 17 people on stage, jumping around and rapping. It's unlike anything else.

"A$AP Rocky came out of nowhere during the concert and Action Bronson dapped me up AND threw free dubs of sour to the crowd and we got one!" - @The_Gooz
Action Bronson / A$AP Rocky, MHOW 8/23/2012

While Duchess Says and The Blind Shake were playing Public Assembly Thursday night (8/23), next door at Music Hall of Williamsburg, the second free show in the new bi-monthly Converse Rubber Tracks series was going down with the newly VICE-signed Action Bronson, along with Meyhem Lauren, Flatbush Zombies, and Tanya Morgan. Members of the A$AP Mob joined Flatbush Zombies on stage for their set, and during the song "Bath Salts," crew leader A$AP Rocky showed up as a surprise guest like he did last month with Grimes, Pictureplane, and Araabmuzik. (He also indulged in a little crowd surfing.) Meanwhile, Action Bronson preferred to keep the stage on the less crowded side, though he did throw a ton of weed into the audience -- and got into the audience too.
For Meyhem Lauren's set, he was joined by guests Heems, Despot, Sean Price, and others. You can catch Meyhem Lauren and Heems again when they play Shea Stadium on September 21 with Smoke DZA, Children of the Night, and others.
A$AP Rocky's next scheduled NYC appearance is Roseland Ballroom on September 27 for his tour with Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q.

A$AP Rocky brought the A$AP Mob tour to Irving Plaza last night (2/1). He brought out a number of guests like Bun B, Waka Flocka, and ScHoolboy Q, and Danny Brown opened the show, along with Flatbush Zombies and G-Eazy. More pictures and a video from this show are below.
One day earlier, A$AP Rocky appeared on The Angie Martinez Show on Hot 97. He was shocked when during his interview, Rakim, who Rocky's mother named him after, joined Rocky and Martinez on the show. A video of this interview is below too.
The Irving Plaza afterparty went down at The Studio at Webster Hall where a very tall Jim E Stack DJ'd in celebration of his new release. Did any of the advertised special guests show up?
ScHoolboy Q also showed up at the recent Danny Brown show in LA.
More pictures and videos from the NYC show below...

The A$AP Mob is kicking off their tour this week, which brings them to NYC on February 1 at Irving Plaza. That show is now sold out.
