Australian trio Terrible Truths releasing debut album, share bouncy, danceable "Uptight"

Terrible Truths

Australian trio Terrible Truths have been going for the most of this decade, with a danceble sound that eschews chords in favor of guitarist Rani Rose intertwining leads around Stacey Wilson’s bass. (Joe Alexander helps keep things bouncy.) They trade vocals too and it makes for a familiar (there’s some scratchy post-punk in there) but fresh sound. What really makes it, though, is they always sound like they’re having fun, and that energy is highly infectious.

The band have dripped out singles and EPs over the last five years, including a 7″ on Mexican summer in 2012, but will finally release their debut album this week on Bedroom Suck. You can check out the video for “See Straight” as well as “Uptight,” which premieres in this post, below.
