Post-hardcore riff masters The Fall of Troy are playing their most loved album, Doppelganger, in full for its tenth anniversary on September 17 at Webster Hall. Opening is And So I Watch You From Afar and Slothrust. Tickets go on venue presale today at 10 AM (password = TFOT2015). General on-sale begins Friday (6/26).

And So I Watch You From Afar

Belfast, Ireland's immensely positive And So I Watch You From Afar and Oxford's TTNG will be teaming up for a fall, co-headlining North American tour. ASIWYFA's dynamic post-rock and TTNG's mathy output will make for some high-energy shows. Their Sargent House labelmate Mylets will open all dates, and you can look for the three groups to tag Knitting Factory on November 15. Tickets go on sale this Friday (7/12) at 10AM.

The 2012 edition of Calgary, Alberta festival Sled Island is set to take place from June 20-23 at venues throughout the city. This year includes over 200 bands performing at 30 venues plus a large comedy schedule, film screenings, and art shows.

Sled Island 2012 will once again use outdoor venue Olympic Plaza as its main stage, featuring performances by Feist, The Hold Steady, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, The Dudes, Shabazz Palaces, Parlovr, and others.

Acts including Russian Circles, Hot Snakes, The Antlers, Boris, Thurston Moore, Willis Earl Beal, Trust, Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, Terry Malts, Neil Hamburger, How To Dress Well, The Evaporators (aka Nardwuar's band), DJ Jonathan Toubin, Hannibal Buress, Andrew W.K., Tim Heidecker, Archers of Loaf, and many more will be performing at various bars and venues. Check out the full lineup at the bottom of this post.

Festival passes, individual tickets for some clubs shows, and tickets for the Olympic Plaza events only are all on sale. The full festival schedule iwill be announced in June.

DOWNLOAD: Envy - "Dreams Coming To An End" (MP3)


Aside from splits with Jesu and Thursday, Japan's Envy haven't released an album since 2006's triumphant Insomniac Doze. That all changes on Oct 12th, when the band releases their fifth album of their 20 year career, Recitation, via Temporary Residence Limited! Dig on the sixth track from that LP, "Dreams Coming To An End", above and dig on the album art/tracklisting below.

Good news becomes better though with the announcement of a new US tour and NYC date, their first in four years! BrooklynVegan & 1000 Knives are pleased to announce the return of Envy at Santos Party House on 9/30 with Trash Talk, Touche Amore, as well as And So I Watch You From Afar. Tickets are on sale Friday at noon. The rest of Envy's US tour will be filled out with La Dispute, who will rotate into the Trash Talk slot, full dates are below.
