As discussed, the Bouncing Souls 'Home for the Holidays' shows happen this year from December 26-28 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park with The Van Pelt, None More Black and more as openers. Tickets for all three are still available.
Now the afterparties have been announced, and those have pretty great lineups too. Those all happen at Asbury Lanes with 11 PM doors right after each Souls show, and admission is $8 or $5 with a Souls ticket. The first one has Bouncing Souls guitarist Pete Steinkopf's other band Smalltalk and Philly post-punks Dark Blue (mems Clockcleaner, Paint It Black), with Dark Blue members Andy Nelson and Sharkey DJing. Dark Blue also play a free 2 PM show at Rough Trade NYC on 10/26
Then night 2 has the recently reactivated Spraynard (who just opened for Lifetime in Asbury Park) and Philly indie rockers Cayetana (who also play the official BV CMJ showcase), with Miss TK and Mitylion (Ari Katz of Lifetime) DJing.
Each day there's also a charity fundraiser at noon at Neptune Tattooville in Neptune, NJ and there's also a Punk Rock Flea Market on the Saturday (12/27) at 11 AM at Convention Hall in Asbury Park with "The Pete" DJing. The flea market is free with a Saturday Souls ticket.

In celebration of PiB's righteous return to the studio, we cornered frontman Dan Yemin (also Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, etc) and bassist Andy Nelson (also Ceremony, etc) about the new release, being an elder statesman in punk and what the future holds. The results of that conversation, those song streams are below.
Ceremony at Fun Fun Fun Fest 2012 (more by Keith Marlowe)
Andy Nelson of Ceremony / Paint it Black took time out from his string of dates with Titus Andronicus (which included Webster Hall this past weekend) to fork over his favorite records of 2012. Andy actually gave us two lists -- favorite LPs and EPs/singles. They include Frank Ocean, Merchandise, Savages, Julia Holter and... well see for yourself. His lists are below.
