J. Spaceman / Kid Millions at LPR in September (more by Greg Cristman)
Spacemillions

One of this year's more interesting-sounding Record Store Day exclusives is a compilation titled Space Project that features songs incorporating sounds recorded in space by the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 space probes. Spiritualized, Youth Lagoon, Beach House, Mutual Benefit, the Antlers, Absolutely Free, and more recorded songs for the LP which is being put out by Lefse Records on vinyl, CD and as a 7" boxset. Recorded under the name The Spiritualized Mississippi Space Program, you can stream "Always Forgetting With You (The Bridge Song)" and check out the full tracklist and artwork below.

Speaking of Spiritualzed and Record Store Day, you may remember that frontman Jason Pierce and Kid Millions (who played drums for Spiritualized last year) played an improvisational set together at Le Poisson Rouge back in September. A recording of that show is being released as a RSD 12" via Northern Spy with a 24-minute track called "Misha" on one side and the nearly-as-long "Han" on the flip. You can stream "Misha" below.

Pitchfork Top Tracks

Pitchfork just posted their much anticipated list of the top 100 tracks of 2012. The #1 slot went to... Grimes! Whether you thought the whole of her album Visions was good or not, it was hard to deny the charms of "Oblivion." (Having that great video didn't hurt either.) Do you think it deserved to top the list? If not then what song should've?

You can check out P4K's entire hot 100 of 2012 below.
