Skeletonwitch @ Best Buy Theater

BrooklynVegan & Rocks Off are proud to announce the headliner for our official CMJ showcase aboard the Jewel with the previously announced Kvelertak on October 22nd... Skeletonwitch! The raging blackened-thrash band will play two NYC dates including boat show and Europa on 10/21, and tickets for both the boat show and Europa are on sale. The full slate of bands for both shows will be announced soon, but meanwhile Europa has added Turbid North.

Skeletonwitch are preparing to release their new LP Forever Abomination via Prosthetic Records on 10/11. Stream two new tracks from that LP below. The Ohio band played NYC on Friday (9/9) at Best Buy Theater, supporting Arch Enemy with Devil Driver and Cthtonic. More pictures from that show are below.

Rorschach at The Charleston (more by Ryan Muir)

While we wait for the Maryland Deathfest lineup to expand, one of those bands have slipped past the goalie! Rorschach will play Maryland Deathfest and will presumably be announced with their final batch of artists in the coming weeks. Final bands announced! and they are: AGALLOCH, ARCHGOAT (Finland), BRUJERIA (Mexico), YOB, BLACK WITCHERY, DYING FETUS, UNANIMATED (Sweden), MORGION, RORSCHACH, NEEDFUL THINGS (Czech Republic), DIE PIGEON DIE (Australia), and EXTERMINATION ANGEL.

Show No Mercy returns with an interview and a new song from Leviathan. The interview is short and Whitehead doesn't exactly delve deep, but it and the song are both definitely worth a listen.

Cannabis Corpse will support The Black Dahlia Murder and All Shall Perish at Knitting Factory on 10/11 as part of a larger tour together. Tickets are on sale, and their full tour schedule is below.

Vanishing Leper is Justin Detore (Mind Eraser/Rival Mob/Righteous Jams etc) and Jordan Darby (Dry-Rot), and the band is currently streaming a new EP and are preparing it for a limited release on Cold Vomit. Listen below.

Deutchlanders The Ocean have announced a date (May 26) at the Knitting Factory in NYC with Kylesa, AND Lair Of The Minotaur! New Prostethic signees Withered will also be on hand to start off the night. Tickets are on sale. No word on a full tour, but there is one in the works. The Ocean is currently in Europe with Trap Them. Lair Of The Minotaur have a new album out March 25th.

Illinois' Nachtmystium have released details on their new LP... and EP! Yepper, thats a double whammy from the Chicago dudes with the killer "Instinct". Check out the new song "Your True Enemy" from full-length Assassins and "Depravity" from their Worldfall e.p. at their myspace.

One group heavily influenced by the newly reformed Amebix (along with Hellhammer/early Celtic Frost) is Gallhammer, who have released the limited edition gatefold 2LP of last year's triumphant Ill Innocence. Pick that up at Peaceville and look for the recently announced DVD for "Ruin Of A Church", documenting their 2007 tour with production/audio mix by Justin Broadrick.
