A$AP Rocky at Public Assembly in February (more by Dylan Johnson)
A$AP Rocky

A$AP Rocky is currently on his arena tour with Rihanna which hits the NYC area on April 28 at Prudential Center and May 4 and 5 at Barclays Center, and after recently scheduling a smaller Highline Ballroom show during it which he quickly cancelled, Rocky has announced another huge tour to go down this summer. It's a co-headlining tour with Wiz Khalifa and support comes from Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era, Rockie Fresh, Trinidad Jame$, B.o.B. and Berner. Smoke DZA opens some dates in select cities (but not the NYC-area dates) too.

That tour, dubbed the "Under the Influence of Music Tour" hits the NYC area for big amiphitheater shows at PNC Bank Arts Center on August 2 in Holmdel, NJ, Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on August 6 in Wantagh, NY and Comcast Theatre on August 8 in Hartford, CT. Those shows happen about a month before A$AP Rocky plays the Jay-Z curated Budweiser Made In America Festival in Philly. Tickets for all shows on the tour go on sale Saturday (4/27) at 10 AM. Citi Cardmember presales start on Tuesday (4/23) at 10 AM and Live Nation presales start Friday (4/26) at 10 AM for the Jones Beach and Comcast Theatre shows. A four-ticket promotional offer for the PNC Bank Arts Center show starts Monday, April 29 at 10 AM.

Meanwhile, Joey Bada$$ just brought his tour with Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers through NYC for shows at Highline Ballroom (4/18) at Gramercy Theater (4/20), and he also has upcoming dates at The Roots Picnic (6/1) in Philly (tickets) and Hot 97 Summer Jam's Festival Village (6/2) in NJ (tickets). Check out a video of Joey rapping his verse on A$AP Rocky's "1 Train" at yesterday's Gramercy Theater show.

Wiz Khalifa's new live EP with Curren$y is also available on iTunes now.

All dates are listed, along with the tour trailer video, tour flyer, and A$AP Rocky's video for "Fuckin' Problems," below...

A$AP Rocky at Public Assembly in February (more by Dylan Johnson)
A$AP Rocky

As mentioned, the Jay-Z curated Budweiser Made In America festival is returning to Philly from August 31 - September 1 at Benjamin Franklin Parkway with a lineup of Beyonce, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Black Hippy (aka Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock), Miguel, Solange, Phoenix, A$AP Rocky, The Gaslight Anthem, AlunaGeorge, Public Enemy, and more. Tickets for the festival are on Facebook Presale now. Password is "AMERICA."

Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky, who plays that festival, is on a tour with Rihanna now which hits the NYC area on April 28 at Prudential Center (tickets) and May 4 and 5 at Barclays Center (sold out). As mentioned, he was supposed to stop in NYC for his own late show at Highline Ballroom after the Prudential Center show, but his Highline show has been cancelled. No word yet on how to obtain refunds if you've purchased tickets.

UPDATE: A$AP Rocky & Rihanna's show in Houston tonight is also cancelled, though that is probably a coincidence.

Updated A$AP Rocky dates are listed, along with the Made In America flyer, below...

A$AP Rocky

As mentioned, A$AP Rocky, whose new album, Long. Live, A$AP, has been holding up pretty well this year, is on tour with Rihanna now and that tour will come to the NYC-area for shows at Prudential Center on April 28 and Barclays Center on May 4 and 5. But if you'd like to see Rocky do a headlining set a much smaller venue, you're in luck because he announced that he'll be at Highline Ballroom on April 28 with DJ Sinatra and "special guests" as an after show for the Prudential Center show. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Recently, A$AP Rocky made a video for his track, "Wild for the Night," which was produced by Skrillex (and he's featured in the video) and did a remix Jessie Ware's "Wildest Moments," which will appear on the North American release of her album, Devotion (due out 4/16 via Interscope). Updated dates are listed, along with that video and song stream, below...

Amid all the noise that is SXSW, Yahoo! announced that Kendrick Lamar, fun., the Lumineers, J. Cole, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Imagine Dragons and more would be a part of a travelling festival called "Yahoo! on the Road" that kicks with a show in NYC on May 3. No word on exact line-up or venue just yet but the new media conglomerate promises details soon.

The tour concludes the three-day Wireless Festival in London (July 12 - 14) that will also feature Jay-Z & Justin Timberlake (who just added a second Yankee Stadium show), Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, Ke$ha, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, A$AP Rocky and more. Danny Brown at Roseland, October 2012 (more by Brook Bobbins)
Danny Brown

Danny Brown has a string of dates with Bauuer that kick off in April, but shortly thereafter you can see the MC continue his trek, turning those dates into part of a full North American Jaunt. Though Bauuer won't join DB for all of those dates, he has enlisted Kitty (she dropped the "Pryde") for the tail end of the tour that will include an NYC stop at Irving Plaza on May 7. Ticketing info is on the way.

Not only is Danny Brown returning to the road, he has ALSO returned to the booth too! He recently dropped the new track "#Hottest MC," a new Harry-Fraud blessed burner due on his forthcoming LP Old. Look for the LP to feature a grip of homies as well, including Purity Ring, A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Rustie, Kitty and more. All tour dates are listed, along with a stream of "#Hottest MC," are below.

Ab-Soul at SOB's - 2/27/13 (photo by Marvin H)
Ab-Soul

After Ab-Soul (and the rest of the Black Hippy crew) appeared on stage with Kendrick Lamar during Tuesday's Roseland show, he stuck around NYC for his own show at SOB's last night (2/27). Due to the previous night's events, everyone pretty much knew something similar would go down at SOB's, which Ab-Soul acknowledged early on at last night's show, and proceeded to make the hour-ish long show a split between solo Soulo and a showcase of his friends/collaborators.

Ab-Soul has a lot of fun at his shows, doing lots of call-and-response with the crowd, like: "When I say 'Hiii," you say 'Power!'" "Hiii!" "POWER!"; "When I say "TD," you say "E." "TD" "EEEE!"; and my personal favorite, "Soulo ho!" - "SOULO HO!", which he always followed with, "See how easy it is? that's a real song. Seriously!" When he raps, he kills it live as much as he does on record. In terms of material, he did a lot of 2012's Control System but also reached back for some earlier cuts, like "Gone Insane."

Because there's no backstage at SOB's and the smoke-filled room was packed, Ab-Soul's guests had to squeeze their way through the center of the crowd to pop up on stage. So depending on where you were standing, you knew who was about to get on stage, but maybe seeing them walk right past you was even more exciting (I for one, was on the side of the stage, and have no idea). First out was Black Hippy cohort Jay Rock for their track "Lust Demons." After that, he hung out on stage as the third Black Hippy member of the night, Schoolboy Q, came out to absolutely murder "Druggys Wit Hoes Again," which had the crowd screaming in the chorus. Then Soulo took a break from the Black Hippy members, and spent the next chunk of his set bringing out NYC rappers, like Smoke DZA, Joey Bada$$ (who also came out during Ab-Soul's set at Terminal 5 in 2012), and the most riotous of the local guest spots, A$AP Rocky, who came out in his usual manner of rushing the stage with hypemen to do his own track, "Angels."

Finally, towards the end of the set, Ab-Soul played "Illuminate," which of course meant the last Black Hippy member of the night was about to hit the stage: Kendrick Lamar. After that track, Kendrick asked the crowd, "Can I do one of my own?" The crowd screaming in the affirmative was answered by the beat to "Backseat Freestyle" and before you could even hear Kendrick, just about every person in that room yelled, "MARTIN HAD A DREAM... MARTIN HAD A DREAM... KENDRICK HAVE A DREEEEEEEEEEAM." Then he stuck around for yet another of his own cuts, "m.A.A.d. City," followed by Ab-Soul closing the night with arguably his best track, "Pineal Gland."

The show opened with sets from G.R.A.M.Z., Rikki Blu, an unbilled set from the Ryder Gang, and the very intriguing Bishop Nehru. Nehru is from NYC, he's only 16, and like fellow young NYC rapper Joey Bada$$, Bishop Nehru sounds most influenced by the rap that came out before he was even born. And even if his influences are worn on his sleeve a bit, he's still a promising young artist, and ended his set by cutting the beat and delivering a rapid fast verse on his own, to which the crowd only screamed louder and louder as he went on.

Bishop Nehru's recent music video for "Misruled Order," which he directed himself, and a video of Kendrick and Ab-Soul doing "Backstreet Freestyle" at SOB's, below...

A$AP Rocky

NYC rapper A$AP Rocky played his first hometown show since the release of Long.Live.A$AP at Public Assembly last Wednesday (2/20), a far more intimate show than the ones he'll be playing soon when he leaves for his tour with Rihanna. Rocky brought his usual craziness with a packed stage of A$AP Mob members and a packed crowd of fans rapping along. The show was opened by fellow Mob member A$AP Ferg, and other A$APs made appearances throughout the night too.

Bodega Bamz and 4th Pyramid were on the bill too, and as mentioned, you can catch Bodega Bamz and A$AP Twelvy in NYC again when they play Santos (3/6). Tickets for that show are still available. More pictures and a video from the Public Assembly show, below...

A$AP Rocky at FFF Fest 2012 (more by Tim Griffin)
A$AP Rocky

A$AP Rocky is teaming up with fellow A$AP Mob member, A$AP Ferg, in addition to Bodega Bamz, 4th Pyramid, and DJ Getlive! for a Scion A/V-presented NYC show on February 20 at Public Assembly. The only way to get in is to enter Scion's contest via Twitter or Instagram. Instructions on how to do so are below and more info is HERE.

Though entering the contest obviously won't guarantee admission and Rocky plays NYC a lot, the show is pretty exciting in that it's an intimate one for him before heading out on tour with Rihanna, and it's his first NYC show since the release of his new album, Long. Live. A$AP. As someone who's been a pretty big naysayer of A$AP Rocky's previous work (sorry, "Purple Swag"), the new album finally won me over as a fan. He raps more confidently than in the past, the songs are catchier, and production from Hit-Boy, 40, T-Minus, Clams Casino, Danger Mouse... and Skrillex (because, why not?) doesn't hurt. Neither do guests verses from everyone. If you haven't heard it yet, you can stream the album below.

Another A$AP Mob member, A$AP Twelvy is also teaming up with Bodega Bamz for their own show on March 6 at Santos Party House. Tickets for that one are on sale now.

And, as mentioned, A$AP Ferg also plays with Fat Trel on February 12 at SOB's. That show also includes Da$h & Retch and A$ton Matthews. Tickets for that one are still available.

An updated list of dates , that album stream, and contest details for the Scion A/V show below...

Jessie Ware @ Bowery Ballroom, 1/17/2013
Jessie Ware

After a tiny club show at The Box in December and a four-song acoustic set at Highline earlier this week, rising UK singer Jessie Ware played what you could call her first proper NYC show last night (1/17) at Bowery Ballroom with openers Faye and Rochelle Jordan and pictures from that show are in this post. If you went, what did you think?

Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky has expressed interest in having Ware appear on his next album. "I knew about her since last summer. I'm working with her, I'm going to work with her. I want to bad," Rocky told the BBC. I don't care about her being a star, I just think she has a beautiful voice and a lot of talent. I haven't got the chance or honour to meet her yet - I just love her art." You may remember Florence Welch appears on his debut, Long.Live.A$AP which is out this week and SPIN just gave "Worst New Music."

More pics from Bowery Ballroom are below.

Sirius

Hard to believe, but our BrooklynVegan "Blog Radio" show has been airing weekly on satellite radio for over 6.5 years. It started on Sirius which then merged with XM and became SiriusXM. The station, which was originally "Left of Center" on Sirius, is now called SiriusXMU (on SiriusXM). You can currently hear the two hour show on the "indie/college" station every Wednesday at noon EST and again at midnight that night (which is technically Thursday morning in Eastern Standard Time).

At some point years ago I brought on like-minded music lover Dominic (Nick) Masi to be my co-host, and to cover when I couldn't make it. Now, though I still may pop in occasionally (my New Year's resolution!), Nick has taken over completely, hosting the show week to week with a selection of music you'll find on BrooklynVegan.com and on his own iPod. Recently Nick also started hosting a show called "Cover Me" (all cover songs) on Bruce Springsteen's E Street Radio, and other programs on the network too.

In his spare time, Nick now tour manages members of Odd Future - a job which was an offshoot of his huge passion for hip hop (and traveling around the continent in a van).

What were Nick's favorite records and songs in 2012? We asked him and he gave us a list of his top 10 albums and "top 15 hip hop songs of the year that don't feature 2Chainz, Kanye, Drake, Rick Ross or (fill in the blank with your favorite rapper you've seen on every remix this year)."

You can check out both of Nick's lists, along with videos or streams for each song on his hip hop list (Odd Future songs included), below...

Pitchfork Top Tracks

Pitchfork just posted their much anticipated list of the top 100 tracks of 2012. The #1 slot went to... Grimes! Whether you thought the whole of her album Visions was good or not, it was hard to deny the charms of "Oblivion." (Having that great video didn't hurt either.) Do you think it deserved to top the list? If not then what song should've?

You can check out P4K's entire hot 100 of 2012 below.

Big Boi with Phantogram @ SOB's, 12/10/2012
Big Boi

Following his gig over the weekend at The Studio @ Webster Hall, Big Boi played his second NYC show in less than a week at SOB's Monday night (12/10), or third if you count an appearance on Jimmy Fallon. The Hot 97 show was an invite/contest-only Hot 97 affair in celebration of his Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors LP which hit store shelves today. He was joined Phantogram for "Objectum Sexuality," and "CPU," and then A$AP Rocky came out as well for his verse on "Lines."

More pictures from SOB's, including one of the setlist, below...

A$AP Rocky at FFF Fest 2012 (more by Tim Griffin)
A$AP Rocky

A$AP Rocky appeared on BET's "106 & Park" earlier this week (12/3) to reveal his new video for his posse cut, "Fuckin' Problem," which features Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and 2 Chainz. On the show, he also revealed the cover art for his new album, Long.Live.A$AP, and announced that it will be out January 15, after much delay. You can watch the "Fuckin' Problem" video and check out the album art below.

As mentioned, Rocky will be touring with Rihanna and playing NYC on May 4 and 5 at Barclays Center (night 1 sold out, night 2 tickets on sale) but if you'd prefer not to see him opening for a huge pop star in a huge arena, you can catch opening for T.I. at Best Buy Theater on December 18. Rocky appears on TI's upcoming album, Trouble Man (which drops the day of the show), on the track, "Wildside," so maybe he'll come out to perform it with Tip at the show. Tickets for that one are still available.

As mentioned, T.I. recently dropped the Andre 3000-featuring track, "Sorry," off Trouble Man. If you missed it, you can stream that below, along with the A$AP Rocky video, cover art, and a list of updated dates.

Big Boi

As mentioned, Big Boi releases his second solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, next week (12/11) via Def Jam. His solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, is still my single favorite hip hop album of the new decade so naturally I've been seriously anticipating VLADR since Big Boi mentioned he began work on it. And admittedly, the album is a bit overshadowed by its predecessor, due in part to lacking a song as huge as "Shutterbug." But though the album never hits a moment as large as that one, it's still a winner in its own right.

Vicious Lies opens up like a classic OutKast album, with a short, slow and pretty intro track that leads right into a blunted headknocker, "The Thickets," which appropriately features Sleepy Brown of Organized Noize, who worked on a lot of early OutKast. The bar continues to raise on the next track, a rhythmic club track up there with "Tangerine" or the Big Boi-featuring Janelle Monae track from that same year, "Tightrope." The album plateaus a bit there but more standouts start appearing later on with tracks like "Thom Pettie," a dirty synth track with a great hook from Little Dragon and a characteristically abrasive verse from Killer Mike. Later on we get "Lines," which is probably the best track on the album thanks to a killer chorus from Phantogram that doesn't leave your head once its in there (A$AP Rocky is on the track too). But the most interesting moment of the album has to be "Shoes For Running," which is carried by a hook sung by Wavves dude Nathan Williams. The only thing stopping it from being a total head scratcher is that Nathan toured with GZA and Killer Mike (which itself was a head scratcher) and I still can't decide if it's one of those fun indie/rap collabs like Kid Cudi and MGMT's "Pursuit of Happiness that you'll be hearing all year, or just plain weird. But the fact that I'm still going on about it must say something.

Big Boi will be in NYC next week, the day before his album release for an invite-only Hot 97 show at SOB's (12/10). The only way you can get in though is to win them from Hot 97.

Before that, Big Boi will stop by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday (12/7) to perform "Mama Told Me" with Little Dragon, who were initially supposed to guest on the song's recording, but were replaced on the album by Kelly Rowland.

Since we last spoke about the album, Big Boi has (legally) revealed two more of its tracks, the Kid Cudi-featuring "She Hates Me," and the T.I. and Ludacris-featuring Atlanta boasting party "In the A," both of which you can hear below. In related news, TI just revealed his storied track with Andre 3000, "Sorry," which will appear on his upcoming Trouble Man LP and can also be streamed below.

VIcious Lies and Dangerous Rumors

As expected, there have been lots of (dangerous) rumors floating around about Big Boi's upcoming sophomore solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, which is due out December 11 via Def Jam (pushed back from November 13). He's now revealed what is (fingers crossed!) the official tracklist for the album and the guest spots are pretty exciting. Despite Little Dragon's initial guest spot having gone to Kelly Rowland a while back, the group actually appears on three other album tracks. The album's got plenty of love from the dirty south, like on "Gossip," which features veteran UGK and worthy newcomer Big K.R.I.T.; frequent Outkast/Big Boi collaborator Killer Mike appears on a track with Little Dragon; TI and Ludacris end up on a track together; and Sleepy Brown of Organized Noize, who produced a ton of Outkast back in the day is on one too. In more surprising (and also exciting) news, Wavves and Jai Paul are both on the album. As is A$AP Rocky, Phantogram, Kid Cudi, and others. You can check out the full tracklist below.

In related news, TI also revealed the tracklist for his much-delayed upcoming album, Trouble Man (due out 12/18), and it looks a bit different than the one we initially mentioned. The most striking difference is that the song sampling Gotye and featuring Kendrick Lamar is not listed anymore. But in more positive news, Big Boi's Outkast partner Andre 3000 is there on the song, "Sorry" (the one where he allegedly apologizes to Big Boi). Cee Lo Green, A$AP Rocky, R. Kelly, and more are set to appear too. The full tracklist is below. TI plays NYC on December 18 at Best Buy Theater (tickets).

Speaking of Big Boi and Little Dragon, they were hanging out together a bit before Halloween at a "costume party" (check out their costumes). A video of them together and those tracklists, are below.

T.I. at SXSW 2012 (more by Ryan Muir)
T.I.

Atlanta MC T.I. is prepping to release Trouble Man, his eighth studio album, before the end of the year. Though not named after the the excellent Marvin Gaye soundtrack of the same name, as a recent listening party can attest, the LP does dip its toes into samples from that effort while logging guest spots from R. Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Andre 3000, Lil Wayne, A$AP Rocky, No I.D., P!nk, Cee-Lo, Pharrell Williams and more. Gotye gets into the mix via a sample on TI's track "Somebody That I Used To Know". Stream some tracks below.

In the meantime, the promotional arm is in full swing for T.I. and you can look for the MC to play some live dates. One of those goes down in NYC on December 18th at Best Buy. Tickets are on sale now.

All known tour dates, those song streams and some video is below

A$AP Mob at Roseland Ballroom in September (more by Brook Bobbins)
ASAP MOB

A$AP Rocky and his A$AP Mob are on tour now with Schoolboy Q and Danny Brown, and as mentioned, when it wraps up, A$AP Twelvy will play his own show at Highline Ballroom on November 22 (tickets). You'll also have a chance to catch the full A$AP Mob again in NYC soon after that when they play Best Buy Theater on November 29 with A-Trak, who just played a Fool's Gold show at Music Hall of Williamsburg during CMJ. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (10/26) at noon.

Updated dates listed below.

A$AP Mob at Roseland Ballroom in September (more by Brook Bobbins)
A$AP Mob

A$AP Twelvy is currently on tour with Rocky and the rest of the A$AP Mob, but upon returning home, he'll headline his show in NYC on November 22 at HIghline Ballroom, billed as "A$AP Twelvy & Friends." Tickets for that show go on sale today (10/12) at noon.

Meanwhile, that tour had a short break this week during which soccer video game commercial star A$AP Rocky briefly returned home to NYC, and while he was here, he and Gucci Mane came out as guests at Waka Flocka Flame's Irving Plaza show, which went down this past Tuesday (10/9). You can check out a video of that below. Rocky comes out around 6:03 and in typical Rocky-making-a-surprise-appearance fashion, pretty much blows up the stage at that point.

The short break in the A$AP tour ended last night (10/11) when the mob (and Schoolboy Q and Danny Brown) hit Chicago's Congress Theater and it continues tonight (10/12) in Milwaukee. Pics from the NYC stop at Roseland Ballroom are HERE.

It's too bad that Rocky will be too busy in Salt Lake City to make another trip home for the Flatbush Zombies show at Santos (10/17) during CMJ.

Jet Life

Speaking of hip hop shows at the Highline, Curren$y's Jet Life crew is doing a record release party for Jet Life World Order 2 at Highline Ballroom on November 20, two days before the A$AP Twelvy show. The exact lineup of who will be performing at this show has not been announced yet, other than "special invited guests." Tickets for the show go on sale today (10/12) at noon. Jet Life World Order 2 drops the same day as the release show (11/20) via iHipHop Distribution/Jets International and you can stream the first single, "No Sleep" (feat. feat. Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy & Curren$y), below. The album will also feature Smoke DZA and others. That's the cover art above.

A$AP Rocky & friends @ Roseland Ballroom - 9/27/12
A$AP Rocky
A$AP Rocky

A$AP Rocky brought his "LongLiveA$AP" Tour with Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q to NYC for a show at Roseland Ballroom this past Thursday (9/27). After their opening sets, both Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q joined Rocky during his set, as did Flatbush Zombies, who were joined by Rocky at their recent Music Hall of Williamsburg show, and Bodega BAMZ. Here's what The Source had to say about the show...

Just before the clock struck 8, Danny Brown hit the stage, opening with "Wit It", which seemed to be the perfect song to get the audience properly turnt up. Danny followed with his araabMuzik produced-single "Molly Ringwald", and then went in to "Black Brad Pitt". After turning it down for the fourth song, Danny picked the energy back up again with "My Radio Song", having the crowd help him rap the chorus. Before leaving the stage at 8:30, Danny did a little rendition of ScHoolboy & Ab-Soul's track "Druggys Wit Hoes", then ran through a couple more tracks with the crowd chiming in again, including "Monopoly" and "Blunt After Blunt"...

...ScHoolboy came out at 8:45, setting a mellow mood by performing the first verse of "Sacreligious" and following up with "Oxy Music", two of the slower tracks off his latest release Habits N Contradictions. "All the real ScHoolboy fans make some noise! If you don't know anything, you can bet I got some... what?!" shouted Q, before getting into "Bet I Got Sum Weed", which everyone around me took as an opportunity to spark up...

...Sporting a brown leather sweater and black shorts, Rocky finally hit the stage, performing a new track. "I'm still that pretty motherf***a, you know Harlem's what I'm reppin!" he shouted. A mob hit the stage, everyone shouting "Swag!" again and again. "Jesus walked on water, I'm preaching to the choir," rapped rocky, with a light show behind him crazy enough to cause an epileptic seizure... I know alot of artists over-exaggerate, and say that their concerts were "a movie", but if Rocky and the Mob were to describe their concert like that, it wouldn't be a lie. At one point, there were 17 people on stage, jumping around and rapping. It's unlike anything else.

Jon Spencer Blues Explosion's new album, Meat and Bone, is out today and BrooklynVegan is presenting record release party tonight at Bowery Electric. The only way in was to have bought the album through Other Music or won tickets from us. It's now sold out but you can, however, watch the JSBX's new video, "Black Mold," below.

Bobby Womack and his all-star band (Damon Albarn, Kwes, mems of TVotR) are playing a free show and Q&A at Apple's fancypants SoHo store tonight at 7 PM which is likely to be very, very crowded.

Band of Horses, who release their new album, Mirage Rock, today and play House of Vans tonight, taped a "Live on Letterman" concert last night (9/17). You can stream that entire concert below. You can also stream Mirage Rock in its entirety below.

Public Assembly's alt-learning festival, "Et cetera," continues tonight with free panel discussions and demonstrations, like "Bad Feminist Readings."

A$AP Rocky at the Adidas Store, 9/13/2012
ASAP Rocky

A$AP Rocky blessed the Adidas Store in Soho on Thursday (9/13), a private Fashion Week party for the shoe company in celebration of a recent poduct launch. This was the event that didn't actually happen on Fashion's Night Out (though they gave out tickets to it on that night). Pictures from the show, which include shots of Adidas designer Jeremy Scott, are in this post.

If you missed it, make sure and catch A$AP when he teams with Schoolboy Q and Danny Brown on 9/27 at Roseland as part of their tour together. Tickets are still available.

Until that Roseland show comes, make sure and give Purple Lord$ Never Worry a spin. The mixtape is the "chopped not slopped" version of the recently released Lord$ Never Worry, and is available for free HERE (get the original HERE).

More pictures from the Adidas store are below.

"A$AP Rocky came out of nowhere during the concert and Action Bronson dapped me up AND threw free dubs of sour to the crowd and we got one!" - @The_Gooz

Action Bronson / A$AP Rocky, MHOW 8/23/2012
Action Bronson
ASAP Rocky

While Duchess Says and The Blind Shake were playing Public Assembly Thursday night (8/23), next door at Music Hall of Williamsburg, the second free show in the new bi-monthly Converse Rubber Tracks series was going down with the newly VICE-signed Action Bronson, along with Meyhem Lauren, Flatbush Zombies, and Tanya Morgan. Members of the A$AP Mob joined Flatbush Zombies on stage for their set, and during the song "Bath Salts," crew leader A$AP Rocky showed up as a surprise guest like he did last month with Grimes, Pictureplane, and Araabmuzik. (He also indulged in a little crowd surfing.) Meanwhile, Action Bronson preferred to keep the stage on the less crowded side, though he did throw a ton of weed into the audience -- and got into the audience too.

For Meyhem Lauren's set, he was joined by guests Heems, Despot, Sean Price, and others. You can catch Meyhem Lauren and Heems again when they play Shea Stadium on September 21 with Smoke DZA, Children of the Night, and others.

A$AP Rocky's next scheduled NYC appearance is Roseland Ballroom on September 27 for his tour with Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q.

More pictures and a video featuring clips of Flatbush Zombies with A$AP Mob and Action Bronson's set are below.
